Re: RtD Altered - Happy New year!
I browse the shops for useful materials such as weapons, flasks, water gourds or bags. I also look around for a magic store where I could possibly buy some spell tomes or potions. (roll to see if I find any, and display the prices.)
uhhhhh how does the buying system work? do we have money? how much?

Re: RtD Altered - Happy New year!
After what I though was a feeble attempt to persuade the shopkeeper, he pulled 4 small barrels of ale from under the counter and asked, "Will this do, Mittens?"
I fought the urge to scowl successfully, but was unable to keep my ears from pulling back. I attempted to smile seductively. "I think you can do better. The meat is only a day old, and well salted." I lied.
Whatever I did, it worked. Kind of. His eyes narrowed softly, and the corner of his mouth pulled into a smile, pulling one more barrel from the counter. "How's 'bout five?" He jeered, smiling so I could see his black, tobacco savvy teeth.
"It's a deal." I said, handing him the berries and meat, separately wrapped in tanned liver and stomach hide. As I grasped the barrels, I noticed each had a strap that I could attach on to a carrier's sash. My belt did the trick, and I slung it over my shoulder, and attached the barrels. I got out as fast I could, before the shop keeper noticed I lied about the meat. I looked around for Maarsah, but I didn't see him anywhere. I was shocked, as the guards that approached him were lightly armed at best. Surly a two-century old vampire could've taken them on.
I sighed and sat down behind a camel-creature drawn cart. I took a closer look at my booze, almost shaking with excitement. I pulled the cork of one of the 5 two-litre barrels and drank as much as I could in the first breath. I drank slower after catching my breath, but as the sun began to set and my first barrel began to empty, I lost my buzz and drifted into a fully drunk state, and lost all thought just as the last of the sun's light disappeared.
Roll to see what happens after I drink two of my ten litres of ale and am let loose completely drunk. If I can say right now that Vokun Kaal forgets what happened during the night when she wakes up, then thats what happens.

Silence the begger with a lift of my hand and a hard stare. "I do not have interest with anything you have to offer." In a stern commanding voice. Pull up the hood of my cloak and proceed back into the alley until just around the corner.

You see the pickpocket who took your wallet, and grab them with your mechanical arm, and demand your wallet back. The pickpocket sneers at you and says nothing, making no move to return your wallet.

As you sit there in your cell, the other inmates start talking about how each of them is only there for a week, then executed by the warden himself. They also talk about the location of the warden's office, as well as the guard patterns for each day.

You strike the guards, who are caught completely by suprise, and can't defend fast enough. The only witness is a man standing off to the side, dressed in a t-shirt, jeans, and carries a black traveling bag.

You notice a shop with plenty of magic tomes, potion books and ingredients, and even magical weapons. They are all incredibly expensive.

Yep, I was right.
You are asleep for now (I'd say 3 turns at least). More details later. Also, as an idea, please don't force a time change. Since we are all in the same area now, I can't let you force time passage now. If all other players want to sleep, I will speed up time to get to the next day. Just a reminder.

You get your hood up, but only get halfway to the alleyway before the salesman is back pestering you to buy something.
Also, on the topic of money.
Everyone, except for chopped, Vokun, and Blackstar have 200 gold coins. Blackstar has 500, and Vokun and chopped have none. Blackstar's character is rich, chopped was arrested, and Vokun had to use his to escape. That's the reason behind why the cash amount changes.

Now, listen. We can do this the easy way, or the hard way. You've obviously proven uncooperative, so the hard way it is.
Pick them up with my mechanical hand, and hold them by the neck a foot above the ground.
Then politely ask for my wallet back.
If he refuses, pull one of my pistols on him. Ask again.
Conditional actions:
If security/police/etc. show up, inform them that A) this person has my wallet and all identification, and B) my ID/papers/etc. allow me to perform such an act, under the authority of the Arcana Government.
If others help the pickpocket, take the wallet by force, throw the pickpocket at them, and leave.
If he still refuses, take the wallet by force.
EDIT: I have $300. In my wallet. Which I shall get. Check my character sheet.

Re: RtD Altered - Happy New year!
As I stand there trying to avoid the situation with the guards not far away, I hear a sound, a gasp of pain, I turn slowly to see a man take a step toward what I know is the ship landing area but then doubled back on himself and starts going in the opposite direction I notice the guards on the ground and assume that the man I just saw must have taken them out, this presents a security threat, what should I do? Should I bring my sniper and fire immediately and kill him no questions asked, or I could approach him and see what has happened and what he knows and whether he actually presents a threat, but this option may give him the upper hand as I have already seen he is good at taking people out at a short distance and provided he is a threat than I will be taken out to easily. Making a quick calculation in my head I make the decision to take up a sniper/spotter position in a higher building and watch this possible threat with the scope of my sniper.

Step back from the pickpocket, keep the gun aimed at him, check wallet. If everything is in order, good.
If not, ask for whatever he took back.
If he gives it back, head back to the ship, waiting for Lahvu Do Gein and his contacts/allies/etc. to head to the Rift. Damnit, no shops. Damnable pickpockets.
If he doesn't, punch him in the stomach w/ cybernetic arm. Hard. [i]"The hard way, hm? How foolish." If he still refuses, shoot him in the knee.

Re: RtD Altered - Happy New year!
Frustrated, I leave the shop empty handed. I figure that attacking and taking things by force won't end well at all, so I'll have to leave the spellbooks behind. At least for now. On my way back to the ship, I see Dwinn's partner trying to reach a well armed man. I figure I have nothing better to do so I go on to assist.
"Need a hand?" I ask him

Re: RtD Altered - Happy New year!
tracking the man(possible threat) I notice that he is being simply shuffled around a few times to end up right where he started. Laughing a little at his misfortune, I begin to look around noticing my surroundings taking note of all the shops and guards and people in general that have changed since I had last been here.
Though granted that had been over 5 1/2 years ago more than a fifth my life. but it had expanded almost exponentially from few buildings maybe 5 shops 10 houses 2-3 guard towers to a massive town of close to 150 shops, 300 Houses and too many guard towers to count. But why? who would want to live on tarterus? it was a prison, it was a barren wasteland.
As I contemplated this I noticed something interesting, not so much out of the ordinary but strange all the same given that it wasn't every day you say a drunk cat through a bar window, though saying that what else would you expect to see through a bar window. there was no way this cat was more than forty years old, 25-30 I would hazard a guess at. she was rather short from what I could see from my vintage I would guess 5' 10" maybe but well that was just a rough guess, it wasn't like it was a target or anything. This would mean that it was none of my business what any of these details were but for some strange reason I was interested, What was this cat doing here? it was barely ever that you say a cat stray to far from Nevirarus so why was this cat here now? was it misfortune? mistakes? or plan unluckiness that ended here here?
Why was I asking all these questions it was none of my business. Maybe I was getting a little old to be a sniper maybe my mother might have been in the right when she took that desk job well... or maybe my ADD was starting to act up majorly like what had happened when I was a child.*shiver slightly* that couldn't be but what was it then?
Realizing that a minute or so, plenty enough time for the man to disappear, had passed since I had seen and had been tracking the man I turn back to it. I look around I can't see him but then again my vantage gave me the high ground but not much interns of width. consequently it would be really easy for him to escape my field of vision not being able to see him any where I soon began to pack up my sniper quickly realizing that it is of no use now.
I soon make my way down the stairs in which I had come up. There on the stairs I pass a man who looks familiar this is strange given that, as I said I hadn't been on tarterus for 5 1/2 years, but yet this man looked very very familiar he had some sort of black satchel attached to his hip by a shoulder strap it look a lot like mine, which I had gotten form my time in the Mersk, but much more rounded and curvature this made me stop for a moment and consider the man this did not stop the man one bit he simply pushed by and continued on his way. Seconds after I finally decide there was no way anybody that was surviving in the Mersk would be that cool towards me.
Acting on this decision I exit out the door at the bottom of the stair well. in the alley infront of me I simply see a blank grey wall that has no markings once so ever. I turn toward the last known position of my target and head off tring to keep far enough away from the crowd that I don't get lost in it and that I don't get spoted by the target but close enough that if the need arises I can fling myself upon the target to save myself and innocent people.
attempt to track my target and stay conseled from them(but close enough that I can fist fight next turn if need be)
OOC: There I edited my bloody turn happy now?

Re: RtD Altered - Happy New year!
Of all the times I had been drunk, and fallen asleep doing so, I had only dreamed a handful of times. And every time, I had been fully aware of what was happening. This time, It was Maarsah dancing with a potato-whore that gave it away. We appeared to be in the bar I had gone into for the ale. For some reason, in the dream, I was drinking with a blonde human who was attempting to impress me with his story of having a mechanical hand. But then he changed his story to having a mechanical eye because the hand wasn't impressing me. I wasn't wearing the armour I had been wearing before, I was in a blue dress, and my hair had been done up nicely. Looking around, the rest of the people in the room, including the blonde human and Maarsah, were dressed up as if we were all at a function of some kind. Except Maarsah's giant humanoid potato, who was wearing a sliver-coloured, strapless, short dress. Maarsah was probably drunk out of his mind. In my drunken state of sleep, I walked over to pull Maarsah from the whore before he got into trouble. But the potato turned into a giant lizard with wings, which I assumed was one of the dragon creatures the people of Arcana had talked about, and began to attack.
I ran out of the bar, but I was suddenly back on Naturalis, in what I believed to be Pawford, where I was born. The dragon continued to persue me, and I heard someone yell after me as I continued running. He caught up to me, and I recognized him as my elder brother, Fahdon Ah. He told me to run, and he would hold it off. As I continued running, my other older brother, Gaan Kro, began to cast spells to harm the dragon. As I ran up the hill out of town I turn around to watch how they were faring, I watched Gaan Kro succumb to the beast's fire breath. Tears welled in my eyes as Fahdon Ah fell to the same fate, his dying scream from my memory, not from the nightmare. I had watched him catch fire when our house burned down all those years ago, after he saved me from the second floor, and pushed me out a window. He never made it out. As the dragon turned to me, now lying on the grass bawling my eyes out, I realized my dress and become full armour, and I clutched the Gale Bow (legendary enchanted bow from Neviarus). Dreams are too weird, I thought, as I notched and drew an arrow and fired it at the serpent's neck...

While trying to get the crystal out, you drop it, and it bounces down the alley and under a crate. This is a very large, very heavy crate.

That turn was the best one yet. I hope the next one will be better.

Re: RtD Altered - Happy New year!
Dwiin Rovaan notices that since he should be still in the spaceport, there's cameras everywhere.
Meaning the pickpocket was clearly spotted.
Unless I'm mistaken.
Will place action once I get an OK on my location.

Re: RtD Altered - Happy New year!
Growing steadily more annoyed with the contact, I finally get fed up with him. "Are you going to do the job you were commissioned for, or do I have to beat you senseless and drag you back with me?" I say to him in a tone that is a mixture of annoyance, and anger, with a definite tone of bloodlust.
I swear he jumped 3 metres off the ground. And his security force was a mixture of confusion and fear, mostly at how I had managed to approach without them noticing.
"So, are you going to do your job, or do I have to do mine?" I say in a tone that was halfway between factual, and threatening. "I could do that, I have the go-ahead for lethal force you know."
He sputtered out something that was a mixture of an apology to me, an order to attack to his security, and a pathetic excuse for a sale to his other contact.
Then I punched him in the stomach with my left hand.
Punch the contact in the stomach with my left hand (charged with my ability still), and inform the security team that if they interfere, they are obstructing official government business.
EDIT: OOC: Yes, you are in the spaceport still, but the pickpocket was not spotted because he was in the blind spot of the cameras.

Dwiin Rovaan facepalms.
"You do realize that I have authorization for lethal force, and the necessary identification and paperwork to kill you, the guards, and I can get away with it?"
Keep the gun pointed at him. If/when the guards show up, explain the following things:
1. This man is a pickpocket, handed my wallet back but kept $250
2. Papers containing the necessary information for lethal force, diplomatic immunity, etc. This is a government-funded mission to Tartarus, after all.
3. The same information is available at the local offices per request via ID.
If the guards don't show up, just return to the ship and wait.
OOC: Seriously. It's a government-funded mission to Tartarus. If they didn't account for lying, thieving bastards claiming that we're the pickpockets for taking OUR money back, they're a bunch of fucking idiots.
And no, you can't claim I'm doing this just because "oh it's not going my way" I'm being dead serious.
