678. It's why I don't like forums. They're great when they're used for what forums were meant to be used for, but not this. When using a forum for this, EVERYTHING is slowed down by a thousandfold, it's easy to start fighting, and people just generally act in a much more "assholey" way. Look up the word forum on the dictionary. it was a place in ancient rome where people discussed ideas. not a place to remotely play a game. also, it tears people apart! for example: I absolutely HATE it when people who should have the same amount of power but don't, decide to pull rank and be an asshole about it. sure, you started the forum, but you're taking something local far to serious. yeah, we have one person that we don't know irl. but it's only one! and it's unlikely that we'll ever have more than 5. also, I specifically made the post in a place where outsiders CAN'T see it, so that things don't have to be so damn formal and in the way. For crying out loud! this forum was meant to be something for us to use because people didn't have time (or didn't want to leave their house) to do this IRL! and you guys have to turn it into the same damn constant stick-up-the-ass thing that I see every time I go on the internet! this is a local website! it does not have to have the same security and other useless things because it's for a group of like 10 people! who (for the most part) all know each other! Seriously! It's like writing an entire set of laws and other doodads for a country with 10 people in it. I feel like this forum is like a government. everything that I or anyone else does is slowed down to the point where it's not even something fun anymore. sure, it allows people who don't have time to do something. but at what cost? There's a famous quote. "if you're going to do something do it right or not at all."

and now for the gigantic chain of angry messages from everyone else.

673, 0_o, dude. That was just plain uncalled for. We all know this. Please don't make such a big deal out of it. It is just a game after all. Plus, getting everyone together on the weekend isn't the easiest thing in the world.

675 btw, this has nothing to do with yesterday's argument.

Am I wrong? was it uncalled for? think about it. in one week (technically more) we've done what in person we would have done in literally 10 minutes. less. I think it slows it down more than 1000.

I'm not asking that we do this in person, i'm just pointing out that I don't think this will work.
